Heads Up for Inclusion one of the successful applicants to receive a School Program Grow Grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation!

December 18th, 2018

Heads Up for Inclusion’s Board of Directors and Staff are pleased to announce the successful results in their application for a Trillium Foundation Grow Grant to expand the School Amigo’s Program within the Peterborough Area and County.

As many of you may know, Heads Up for Inclusion is a Not for Profit Organization that was developed in 2001 by Lucinda Hage who envisioned a world where her son would not have to face barriers to inclusion within his community regardless of his abilities. The idea that students could encourage and support one another in efforts of developing full and meaningful community participation and feelings of belonging was born.

Head’s Up for Inclusion is so excited to announce and thank the Ontario Trillium Foundation for this great gift! Through the Ontario Trillium Foundation’s Grow Grant, supporting our School Amigo’s program, Heads Up for Inclusion plans to expand our reach and take on an additional 9 schools at a rate of 3 schools per year over the next three years; impacting a total of 180 Children and Youth within the Peterborough and County Area.

Thanks Trillium Foundation for believing in inclusion!
