About Us

Heads Up for Inclusion promotes and encourages connections leading to the development of permanency in relationships, so any individual facing barriers to inclusion can participate more fully in the life of their community (Peterborough City and County).

30 DAYS OF KINDNESS CHALLENGE

30 Days of Kindness Challenge for adults. 1. Write a positive review for a local restaurant or small business. 2. Compliment a stranger. 3. Donate spare food to the Kawartha Food Share. 4. Pay it forward during your next coffee or drive through trip 5. Try not to complain for the whole day. 6. Prepare a loved ones favourite meal for them. 7. Send a letter of small care package to someone. 8. Take a walk and pick up trash you see along the way! 9. Support the animals at the PTBO Humane Society by donating something on their wishlist! 10. Tell someone why they are special to you! 11. Order takeout to support a local restaurant. 12. Watch an educational documentary to learn something new! 13. Purchase a candy-gram from Couture Candy for someone sweet in your life. 14. Call your loved ones and check in on them. 15. Ask someone how their day was and really listen. 16. Donate unwanted clothing and household items to Habitat for Humanity! 17. Check to see if a neighbour is in need of something before you go to the store. 18. Walk or bike somewhere instead of driving. 19. Contact a local charity and see how you can support them! 20. Take time to treat yourself with some self-care! 21. Follow local organizations and businesses on social media! 22. Compliment your coworkers on the work they are doing! 23. Say thank you whenever you can! 24. Share an inspiring article with someone who needs it. 25. Write a thank-you note to a teacher who made a difference in your life. 26. Feed someones parking meter. 27. Make a playlist for someone! 28. Reconnect with an old friend! 29. Share your favourite recipe with family and friends. 30. Donate and support local non-profits on Giving Tuesday (Dec 1st).

30 Days of Kindness Challenge for Kids 1. Make a friendly sign to put in your window. 2. Help make dinner for your family! 3. Donate spare food to the Kawartha Food Share. 4. Paint and hide kindness rocks around your neighbourhood. 5. Take a friend or neighbour's dog out for a walk. 6. Prepare a loved ones favourite meal for them. 7. Make a pinecone bird feeder for local wildlife! 8. Take a walk and pick up trash you see along the way! 9. Support the animals at the PTBO Humane Society by donating something on their wish list! 10. Encourage a friend. 11. Thank the janitors for keeping your school safe! 12. Invite a friend to an online game or movie watch party! 13. Purchase a candy-gram from Couture Candy for someone sweet in your life. 14. Call your grandparents or an older relative! 15. Think of something you are grateful for every night before bed. 16. Donate any toys and books you don't need anymore! 17. Leave a kind messages with chalk on the sidewalk. 18. Bake cookies and drop them off on your friends porch! 19. Make a thank you card for the postal worker who delivers your mail! 20. Give hugs to everyone in your household! 21. Leave kind messages in your neighbours mailbox. 22. I am proud to say that I am a Connector in the Amigos program and have personally seen the difference the program makes in people's lives. Heads Up for Inclusion is an organization that does not only help individuals but challenges expectations on what is possible for people with barriers.

Enabling others to grow their potential is the underlining current of HUI. Opportunities are encouraged by providing an environment where social groupings are expanded by the willingness to welcome, enrich and celebrate. Each new smile makes it the success that HUI is.
