Our annual Community Birthday Party originated from a touching narrative shared by one of our board members. He noticed his autistic son facing exclusion from party invitations due to social barriers. This community event serves as an inclusive platform for our Amigos participants and other community members who frequently encounter exclusionary experiences. It offers them an opportunity to come together, celebrate, and feel valued within a supportive environment.

This year, we brought the bash to the Balsillie Family YMCA. Over 100 more people attended, enjoying the food, fun, and time with friends! This included:

Fun, interactive games
Team-building exercises
Socialization and community bonding
Light refreshments and snacks

EVENT OVERVIEW

This event is open to everyone (young and old). We understand that not every child receives invitations to social gatherings like birthday parties, and we believe every student deserves to feel connected and celebrated. The aim is to provide a fun and welcoming atmosphere where every participant can enjoy activities, make new friends, and build lasting connections.

Who Can Attend: All members of community who may face social inclusion barriers.
Accompanying Adults: All registrants below the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
